Miscellaneous Projects

Gluten Free Recipes

One of college courses gave the assignment of creating a recipe book from online recipes. As a celiac, I went to one my mother's favorite gluten free recipe sites, Barefoot in the Kitchen. My recipe book contains all deserts as they are my favorite food group. I used a marker font that looks handwritten. I also chose a more vivid color swatch selection for the background of each page.

Famous Designer Booklet

This was one of my favorite projects. We had to pick a famous graphic design to create a booklet about. When picking, Milton Glaser was the first, and last, person I googled. When I saw his work, I felt an immediate connection. I noticed that our work was rather similar being we both lean more to the cartoon side of things. I had so much fun putting this booklet together and hope I told Milton's story well when making it.

Map of Athens

I created this map in my Layout and Comp. 1 course. We were to create an interactive map of a city with hotels to stay in, sights to see, and places to eat. I chose Athens, Greece as I was a Greece fanatic in my early teens. I enjoyed picking a dimmed color swatch set and finding a map of Athens that was NOT labeled.

Playing Cards

For this project, we were to create a themed deck of cards.

I went with the beginning of the digital age and used a pixelated font as well as creating the pixelated shapes in Illustrator for the back of the cards. I also used bright colored lines which were popular in the 90's.

Pokémon Illustration

This project was my first freelance design. I had a family friend request an illustration of the Pokémon Gengar and Polio for her sons. The hats with Kermit the Frog and Sonic the Hedgehog were personalization requested by her. I used the application Procreate to illustrate this drawing on my IPad.
